Dear friends,

Thank you so much for all you posts. I have been reading what you have written; it's like you have allowed me into your lives. I've already read 3 books that you have kindly recommended to me. I do realize this is only the beginning and I have much more reading, reflection, and work to do.

I have had a particularly bad night and in the middle of reading the book: "Codepending No More" I looked out the window and the light bulb went on. I suddenly remembered my very first post here and, to save you all from looking it up, I had written that I chose my screen name, Spes, because it was Latin for "Hope" and I was here on SR because: I hope each day she will decide to change

I just figured out what you all were telling me and I didn't see till this moment. I'm not suppose to be here hoping she will change; I'm here because I'm suppose to change.

There is hope because, with your help and your experiences, I will change.
