bizarre dreams....anyone else?

Seems like a good thread to post at 1:15am as i'm desperately willing myself to sleep!

For the past few weeks I have been having the most bizarre dreams! Everything is so vivid & real so it seems. I can't remember when I had actually dreamed last before I got sober 30 days ago. Does anyone else experience dreams they have relapsed, but then woken up only to realize it was a dream & thank God?!?! Also have had a lot of dreams where I feel completely out of control...I can't even explain them...they are so weird! Glad to be dreaming again...must mean i'm sleeping good then!

Yeah they're very common jstar - they inevitably fade with time...

My dreams are very scattered, like my brain is on overdrive and can't settle down. Lots of tossing and turning. Trouble getting sleepy at bedtime, and trouble staying asleep. I wake up at 4am every night to go to the bathroom, and that's it. I'm done sleeping (not having gotten a proper amount of sleep at all). I toss and turn all night until my alarm goes off at 7:15. I used to do a couple more shots at 4am, and in 30 mins, I'd be good to go back to bed. It was like medicine, I'd justify. Here it is, 6:01am, had about 3 hours of real sleep. It is only day 2 for me, so we will see.

I studied up on this a bit and am unable to go into specifics, but it is a good thing when a new person has drunk dreams. They do suck though.

I guess i'm not alone on the crazy dream train....I too have trouble falling asleep now, but I am able to wake up on time in the morning which is pure delight! Thanks for all the responses, it's always good to know you aren't alone

A lucid deam is a dream where you are aware that you are dreaming. Is this really happening to you or are you having very vivid dreams?
