How to make visitation fun for kids???
I have three kids that look forward to visiting their mom in treatment, but they get bored quickly because it's not a very kid-friendly environment.
They are 5, 7 and 12 and have several more months of two hour visits before she is out. I hate to cut the visits short, but it's no fun when the kids get bored. I feel like she is missing so much of thier lives, I want every minute to count and be fun.
We bring games, simple crafts, or just sit outside. What do others do?
Thanks!!!
Leo

Ive never experienced rehab before with children BUT I was a nanny for years!
You can have the kids make scrap books with pictures and stuff during the week. Then show her during visitation.
If they like to sing, dance or site poetry have them prepare a song, poem or dance during the week then have them show her during visits.
Bring your family photo albums and you guys can all laugh together at the memories. Thats always fun.
Best of luck making it enjoyable
