day 3
I relapsed because of some very painful situations and losses and frustrations in my life. it was worse than ever, so i stopped again three days ago. while i am happy to be sober, i feel physically disgusting, emotionally in pain, and just shameful and full of regret. does it get better???

It does if you surround yourself with love and positive sober people. And things that are ugly still happen. But drinking over them is never a answer.
Welcome Back.
Welcome Back.
Glad to see you here, seems like a very good thing to do.
Quit for 24 hours at a time, I seem to be able to handle that. They are starting to add up.
I spend a lot of time reading about and posting about and listening about sobriety.
Hang in there

Oh yeah, it gets waaaaaaay better.
It's normal to feel terrible. After all, feeling crappy about ourselves is what makes us want to change. Nobody's like, "Wahoooo, life is so awesome, I should quit drinking!"
On the other hand, you will find plenty of people who, after putting some time between themselves and their last drink, will say, "Wahoooo, life is so awesome, I'm really glad I quit drinking!"
