credit cards

For the first time in a long time I put a large amount of money towards my credit cards When I was using all I would complain about is how my credit debt was building but I always told myself "I'll put my next paycheck towards them" and when payday came around I always went and got high and told myself the same thing. I've been clean for almost 3 weeks and have finally made a huge dent in my card card bill It feels so amazing to finally do something about an issue in my life that was causing me stress and anxiety.

I just needed to share with someone that I am finally taking the needed steps to making my life as stressfree as possible

Hope everyone is having a good day!

......and then you'll have some spare for anything or anyone you want.
It's a real secondary benefit.

Well done yellieee. I think sometimes people forget about the money stuff. I had a huge bill to pay last month which, tbh, I probably wouldn't have paid if I was still drinking. It's a major stress off to not have to worry about these things

Good work getting it under control. I ran up $60,000 in credit card debt during my drinking days and had to declare bankruptcy. I couldnt even afford the minimum payments.

Thank you for all the support everyone! It feels so good to make the right choices It is so amazing that a bill that was always hanging over my head now seems so manageable. Anyone that has ever had an addiction knows how quickly bills add up. SR never fails to make me smile when I need a pat on the back

Debt and bills and money issues are so stressful especially in early sobriety when the reality of it stings and is harsh. I've got a gun of debt aimed at my head too and it feels so awful so I can't wait to get my sobriety under my belt and get to where you are. Keep it going and let's get out of the negatives and into the positives!!

I think a lot of alcholics and addicts created financial mess during their using. Debtors Anonymous helped me a lot.

Good for you! Being sober has all kinds of incidental benefits.

When I quit drinking, I got a $540 a month raise! (That's what I spent on vodka and beer).
