Hello everyone. I had my first therapy meeting yesterday. I think it went well. These are preliminary meetings to see if we mesh well. I hope I have the courage to open up like I know I need to. My next meeting is on Wednesday. I think I am looking forward to it, who knows. Decision making has become like some unknown creature to me that I need to conquer.
I am just going to try and have a nice Easter with the kids and be calm for their sakes. I send good wishes and hugs to whoever needs it.

A good therapist will help you tap into that courage. It's there. My therapist helped me come back from a very dark place after my father was killed. I am very grateful for her gentle guidance.

This is a great first step toward your own sanity and personal growth. Baby steps still move us forward.

Sometime the courage is in making the decision to do something and it sounds like you have done that and found it helpful. Keep going, it's all one step at a time but finding a good therapist is a very good start.
