Went outside today to work, its always helped me to dig in the dirt. Finished walkway in front of house ,getting ready for inspection. Busted up a bunch of concrete with a sledge hammer, man did that feel good. Joe my a/d was suppose to have finished before he went on another binge, and i told him not to come back. Sooooooo , guess who had to finish it. Actually it felt real good getting some anger out. Anyway, going to my 2nd meeting tonight and im hoping its better than the first. Maybe im not getting it. They have only been meeting for a very short time maybe thats it . Dont know, but im willing to give it another try. Maybe i need to seek another group, maybe its me.Wish me luck

Sounds to me like you are well on the way to taking care of yourself. That's a sure sign that things will get better, it just takes time.

Not bad for a almost 57 year old.Sometimes its better, this hurt. I go up then i go way down. Cried all morning, worked all afternoon. Going out to dinner with my daughter, then were both going to a meeting. Looking forward to it.

They recommend you go to 6 meeting before you decide it's no helping. I am glad your going to a second one even though the first wasn't as good as you hoped. Some meetings have a different dynamic. You might try another group.

I have always left the meetings feeling better than when I went in although all the sad stories. Keep working on you. It works when you work it and you are worth it.
