I know for me this site has been amazing, but was especially important in the beginning. While going through withdrawal and dealing with insomnia...to be able to immediately put down my innermost thoughts, fears, hopes and get good supportive feedback...it was/is priceless.

Hi Delilah,
There are probably a hundred people lurking on this site right now who are also on day 1, so you have come to the right place! This site kept me sane when I was fighting through withdrawal symptoms/hangovers. Whenever I'm at home I have my laptop open to this site to remind me I'm not alone in this struggle.

Just my experience but I found that a fresh start and a commitment to attend AA meetings regularly has kept me sober and sane for nearly 23 yrs.
