I love my body!
I love my body!
OK, it needs a bit of toning up....BUT....I was at the Doctors yesterday....and all is fine!!
Liver, heart, kidneys, cholesterol, thyroid, BP...everything totally fine!
I'm SO relieved, I feel like I've been given a new lease of life!
I can really concentrate on the future now. Thank you so much to everybody who encouraged me to go and get checked out. It was the best thing I could have done!
Thank you all for the support so far. It's day 16 now and I'm feeling amazing!

it is an incredible machine that you can poison, damage, and put all the wrong things into the fuel tank, but it just keeps running. If you did a quarter of the things to a brand new car that we did to our boddies the car wouldn't last a month.

It [I]is[I] reassuring and encouraging to know that everything is normal on the inside. I did the same thing in Feb. after having some heart issues. It's all positive now that I'm sober. Congrats on 16
MJ, that is a wonderful feeling, I know. I had the numbers checked too, first in those dark days of mine, and then again after only a month sober. Those numbers all went from oh-oh to YAY in a big hurry. Now I am working on your first point, and it feels so good.
Feels great, doesn't it.
I got a checkup a little while after I quit drinking and my doctor told me I was one of the healthiest people he'd ever seen.
25 years of daily drinking, and THAT was the verdict.
I'm not lucky in everything...but that was and is a huge gift.
Congratulations on your own clean bill of health!

Congratulations on the great health news.
I had a pretty unhealthy life style for many years, too much alcohol, an unhealthy diet, and no exercise. Since I've gotten sober I've started exercising a lot and and my doctor has been amazed with the changes in my BP, cholesterol, etc. I feel like I'm 15 years younger than my chronological age. I still eat to much fast food and sweets but if I'm able to improve my overall health, then anybody can.

Thanks everybody. It sure feels good to have a bit of energy back as well. Totally amazing how kind our bodies are to us!
I'm back to exercising again (something I did a lot before the problems kicked in). I'd forgotten how free I feel when I run.
