Alcohol will make you feel empty, rots your soul & spirit, it did mine anyway. How long have you been sober?
I know you're not interested in AA. Have you read thru AVRT thread here in the secular connection? Or read the Big Book from AA. I don't attend meetings but read quite a few books that have helped w/ my sobriety.

I don't know if you like to read but I read Beyond the Influence & the Big Book from AA. I downloaded free from their website. Then I read through some of the AVRT threads & AVRT in a nutshell online free. It helped me.
I got to that point of I would do whatever it took to get sober b/c I knew alcohol was going to kill me physically or mentally by suicide. It made me so miserable. I'm sober now 9 weeks. I am not depressed anymore & have peace. You can do this. Life can be beautiful. I know it seems impossible. But I'm living proof.

We are with you ovrock, we have all been through similar situations & many are still going through it with you.
I have had what can be known as a lazy day, its ok to sit back & rest sometimes. You can do this, alcohol robs us of our soul & our spirit... lets not feed it anymore.
How about getting out for a walk or a meeting with others going through this?
We are all here to support you my friend.
Cheers ~NB

This can be the last time you have to thru withdrawal. After I got sober I was much better able to deal w my issues. You have to be good to yourself. I just focused on taking care of myself , eating right, etc. Things slowly fell into place. I'm sorry you feel so bad. Just don't give up. You've got people here who care & are rooting for you.
Hi, I am on day 8 and just felt the way you did last weekend then it steadily improved. Try to drink A LOT of water, and get something in your tummy even if it is just crackers for the first day. My second day it was soup and crackers, then day 3 grilled cheese and soup, then a hot meal the next day, you get the idea. This is how sick I was that I had to gradually work up to a hot meal. Take it easy, you are not well. Be kind to yourself.

Wishing you the best.

I am sorry you are going through this. I am too. I was drunk for a week and off of my bipolar meds.
Alcohol causes me so much anxiety- yet I have chosen over and over to go on binges. And it sounds like you are experiencing the aftermath too.
Today is day 1 for me. We can do this together!
Maybe you should also see a doctor/therapist for your anxiety and depression.
Hang in there!
