8 days from using 30 Tramadol a day

Hello all,

I just joined the forum. First posting!

I entered detox for a 30 Tramadol a day habit on 3/ 7 and was discharged 3/12.

So it is now 3/15 and I guess so far so good but I’m still dealing with a lot of the restless leg, joint/bone aching and chills.

It’s weird but I really feel that I was more detoxed several days ago than I am now. Two nights ago I was able to sleep maybe 4 hours but last night I was up literally all night laying there and twitching. Given how I’m feeling right now tonight is also going to be a long one.

After 8 full days off of Tramadol I was hoping to feel a little better by now.

I’ve been researching the differences between Tramadol and a more conventional opiate detox and my impression is that this is the way it is.

I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have experienced both Tramadol and opiate detox.

Thanks a million,
D

I don't have tramadol experience, but yes, that's the way it is. The detox process from many drugs is a drawn out one. It's not hell on wheels everyday, but it takes time to truly get clean all through our insides.

Coming here was a good move, it's great to be able to bounce ideas off people who've been through it and are going through it.

Welcome!

Hi Dmitri-
Welcome. I have some tramadol experience- i've used it but never actually abused it. My doctor, a pain management doc, says tramadol is an opiate just like any other. I just wanted to say welcome and good luck to you! Keep posting.

Thank you to all.

I will ask for further feedback in the substance abuse forum.
