season for miracles...........
season for miracles...........
Folks, after a bad bout of gout hubby has decided to stop drinking and to loose weight. He has gone 5 days now without a drink. It has been 5 wonderful days, he is truely a good man I want to be around when he is not drinking. He has also been talking about studying to take his CDL license test so that he can get a job.
I feel hopeful and I do believe in miracles. I also understand the difficulty in making such large life changes and the possibility of relapse and set backs. So I am trying to live in the day and just enjoy each day of sobriety.
Today he surprised me by coming to church to hear me play in the bell choir! It was so thoughtful and so much like the him that I married.
So today I share my happiness in the possibility of another Christmas miracle. I ask for your prayers for hubby as he attempts to tame the beast. And I offer my thanks for all your support over the past two years, you have all made such a difference in my life(saved my life really!). Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years.

I will be praying for you and your husband. Miracles happen every day, and the fact he recognizes his drinking is a problem and has the willingness to stop is a true blessing.
Hugs,
JG

Rose that is so very wonderful to hear. You are right in staying in the day! One day at a time enjoying all you can. You sound as though you are prepared to handle what comes along. Prayers for both of you as you go into the new year and many to come!!
