27 months today!

And I was a chronic relapser who often thought I was doomed to drink myself to death. If I can do it, anyone can.... anyone who wants it badly enough.

It helps me very much to be grateful, to count my blessings each day. I start each day being grateful to wake up sober and surrounded by my loving dogs. I go to bed grateful for a sober day and surrounded by my dogs.

It really helps my attitude to be thankful.

It would have been a much more difficult (not to mention lonely) journey if it hadn't been for the members here and my teriffic counselor. I am grateful to her and to all of you.

Onward and upward!

Congratulations on 27 months - what an inspiration!!!! I have learned so much from you - gratitude has changed my life. Thank you for all of your contributions to the forum.

Surrounded by dogs when you wake up and go to sleep? Me too. I love it.

We're alike least - took us awhile to officially 'get it' but now here we are, doing this thing. I find I'm still learning and growing a bit every day.

Your example has been important to me many many times when you talk about how important your pets are to you. Wanting to be a great dog pawrent every day is one of the inspiring reasons I stay sober.
