Withdrawal?
I'd been drinking heavily for several days and woke up on Tuesday at 4 am, shaking, sweating, and completely panicked. Like, jump out of your skin anxiety. Shaking, vomiting, stomach a mess. I made it to work and had a lunch meeting with a glass of wine that stopped the shaking. But I could not concentrate at all and was still anxious. When I got home on Tuesday night I took an over the counter sleep aid, and slept for 10 hours. Yesterday, I felt calm, able to focus and get things done. But, still had a headache, fever, stomach issues, and just achy all over. So I thought I was getting sick and last night took Nyquil which I realize has alcohol in it. I was up, totally wired, all night. Now I have to go to work and I'm totally sweating and jittery again. Does this sound like withdrawal?
Any hangover of any kind is withdrawal. Detoxing is different for everyone and many things factor in on how bad it will be for each individual, if you are concerned please go see your doctor. Detoxing on your own is very dangerous.

Yeah...Got to agree...Not a great thing to do on your own...Couple suggestions...Talk to your doctor...Be totally honest about what you drink..Maybe he can make it easier for you...And probably not a great idea to detox while you are going to work...I'm sure there are people there wondering what's wrong with you. Be safe...Not something to play around with.
I'm on board with a Dr. visit. Detoxing is dangerous. I've had two seizures detoxing on my own and nothing is scarier than staying up all night because you're scared that if you fall asleep you may not wake up. Also, your electrolytes could be totally out of wack due to your drinking and (i'm assuming) poor diet. That puts you at risk for a heart attack. Seek professional help and use all the tools at your disposal. You deserve it.
