Had a little argument with myself when I was in the bath about possibly just drinking one day a week, It was like I had 2 little people on each shoulder, One saying,
"yeah that would be good"

and the other saying

"don't be so bloody stupid"

It went on like that for about 10 minutes, Glad I read the AVRT stuff as I just kept thinking about that beast trying to wear me down. and the answer was eventually NO! so that is good.

Oh, how I don't miss the battle in my head anymore. I felt like I had split personalities. And that voice would wear me down. I'd give in to stop the voice.
This was before I knew about AVRT. I kind of just gave him the response every time he tried to whisper or yell at me, Drinking is no longer an option, get lost.
He has been silent since I made up my mind, I was NOT going to budge.

Good for you. It gets easier. He barely speaks now. I dont give him the time of day.

That voice is very clever as well, it can think of all kinds of reasons for you to start again.
