I know I have lots of friends here that I would like to ask for some prayers. One of my friends has gone missing. He was out celebrating his 21st birthday last night and left the bars around 1 am and never made it back to his apartment. His roommates can't reach him, I can't reach him, his other friends can't get ahold of him either. His family came into town today for a birthday meal and he was supposed to meet them but never showed up. We are worried sick about him. He couldn't have gone far as he was not driving and was on foot, we're really hoping that he just passed out somewhere and is sleeping it off but I feel as if someone would have found him by now as our town is not huge (or he would have woken up by now and gotten in contact with someone from the many many calls and texts he has missed). I don't know anyone who would want to hurt him or mess with him. We're clinging to hope that no one picked him up and that he's still in town somewhere. The police are looking for him, me and bunch of other people have been out to places he frequents but no one has seen him. Please please pray that he makes it back safe. Need some good juju right now.

Thanks for the prayers all. He has still not been found. His cell phone shows he is still in the area but police don't think he is anymore. They searched all night along with many groups of his friends (including me) but to no avail. It is looking more and more like he has been kidnapped, perhaps with the cell phone left behind though that hasn't been found yet either. We are all sick with grief and we still hope to find him safe and sound soon.

The search is still on going. I took part in a formal police-led search with over 100 volunteers, made up of both students and people of the community, today. We searched for about 3 hours, going door to door asking if we could look in people's sheds, outside cars, garages, out buildings, backyards, etc., but turned up nothing. Scent hounds and (supposedly) a helicopter have searched the area too but he hasn't been found. We're not giving up yet...but we just don't know where he could be. This is heartbreaking for my friends and I .
