Already dreading bedtime
So I am having a really great night with the hubby dinner and tv(American idol).
But I'm running on 3 1/2 hrs of sleep so
I'm a bit of a wreck and I was so excited to sleep on day 1 I thought he insomnia was a non issue...
I am already anxious about getting some rest tonight but at least I haven't given in and went and got wine.

I know a lot of people don't agree with me but have you considered Chamomile tea and a good calcium/magnesium supplement? Both are very calming. And of course, deep breaths - in through the nose, out through the mouth - really get that oxygen deep. All I can tell you is that this has helped me through many hard nights!
i cant read a book without falling asleep so this might help you too lol laying down and reading is less stimulating than TV. i think the chamomile tea is a great idea too.I've been trying to read "Vittorio The Vampire" by Anne Rice for a week and I'm only on page 2 LOL

I know that feeling, I'm going through that right now too. Tea and books and everything boring doesn't do anything for me. Seems like my body is tired but my mind only has 1 thing it's worried about, we all know what that is.

I always advise people to check with their Dr or at least their pharmacists before starting any supplements etc.
What has worked for others may not work for us - and may not even be suitable depending on other health problems, other meds, clinical history etc.

take that supplement as directed and probably with food, if you take it
I suggest you try not to think about sleep until you are in bed. to me, worry is trying to control something that is out of your control. give time time, you are healing. You didn't get here overnight, you won't heal in one day, either.
relax, take a warm bath, no bright lights like tv, phone or computer an hour before sleep....meditate or listen to some quiet slow music.....
