Sad and happy at the sme time

I'm feeling overwhelming anxiety right now but also proud I'm not drinking. So fatigued but don't wanna try to sleep because I'll be up all night.
Feel foggy...I wish I was stronger earlier in my life so I didn't do this to myself....gonna watch some tv and try and rest and relax and take care of myself

That's it. Just relax, take deep breaths, take care of you. Get a soft blanket.
Just know the emotions will pass. Anxiety will ebb. Close your eyes & picture a beautiful beach, hear the waves.
Don't give up.

Same here, what a long day, I'm actually very tired but I still have some stuff to do so I'm just gonna power through it and hopefully I can get some sleep tonight. Message me sometime if you need a person to talk to, seems like we're on the same road and starting sobriety about the same time.

Be kind and loving to yourself. Do what makes you feel good; bubble bath, enjoyable movie or hobby, music you love ... some days are longer than others but they don't have to be a chore. Many of us are learning to show ourselves kindness and love for the first time. Reach for that, grasp it, and revel in it. It is a far cry from the self loathing and shame we used to feel. It's okay to be kind to yourself.

The inability to sleep is a doozie.... But.....I had an epiphany about 30 days in. Although I may be sleeping later, waking up.....IT'S A HELL OF A LOT EASIER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE.

I know that sounded cheesy - but seriously, this is the first time in years I'm no longer afraid of not getting enough sleep, or sleeping through the alarm and missing my flight. I'm at least confident now that no matter what time I get to bed, when I wake up - I still may be tired, but I'm functional. I never had that confidence hung over.

Think of alcohol as a disgusting blood sucking lazy loser BF that you finally got rid of. Yea, you feel kinda sad (maybe even guilty) but man-oh-man does it feel so gooooooood to have him gone! Enjoy your bath! Add a little olive oil! I did that the other day and my skin was silky smooth! Much better than the dehydrated mess I was left with after spending time with said ex BF.
