Does attending AA online help?
I live in an area without a lot of people. The only meeting here is at noon each day and I can't get out of work. (there are also meetings 2 nights a week that I plan on attending). My question is, does aa online offer similar results to attending meetings?

Something about those rooms...There's an energy there....Hey if it's all you have...Gotta go with it. I'm blessed to live in a town loaded with AA and NA...Lot's of meetings..Lots of different times.
The online meetings here at this site have helped me greatly. I know it isnt the same as being in a room with people but it helps me to listen to other peoples problems.
You are on the right track.

aa online chatroom has meetings as does Addiction, Alcoholism - In The Rooms - Drug Addiction Treatment. There are probably others, too. I also listen to AA speakers online--do a search or try XA-Speakers - The lights are on!

I think as long as you get to those 2 meetings a week and read and talk on the phone with the people you met, as well as do some online stuff you should be in pretty good shape.
