Day Five and a Victory

Mornin'. Day five dawned pleasantly. I've gotten some work done already and am feeling confident. No grossness, no panic, no depression. Dang Gina.

Last night the texts started coming in before I left work. A barmate and karaoke colleague wanted to know whether hubby and I would join her for a contest she and hubby are both semifinalists in. I was fortunate to be able to say hubby's new job requires early hours and declined. I asked if another buddy was going with her (she's kinda young). She didn't know so I said I would ask hubby (perhaps a weak moment on my part). Hubby said unequivocally, "no." No discussion.

So we stayed home. I got a little quilting done. We read. Were in bed by 10:45.

Yay sobriety.

Those newer than me--it seems worth it. Those "older," thank you.

Way to dodge the bullet Missy.
No reason to start tempting fate this early in the game.

Way to protect your sobriety, nicely done!

Glad you had a good night and it rolled into a good morning.

I have been thinking about my first month a lot and realized that one thing I did some nights was just dive into bed ridiculously early. Once I was there with my book, I was safe. That guaranteed me a sober morning, setting me up for a sober day, etc.

Good for you Missy.

Smart choice this early on in sobriety.

Got home, had dinner, am watching TV. I had a busy day and thought about how nice a beer would be, but...salad instead. Doing fine guys.
