Powerful article in yesterday's NY Times
One of my favorite Op-Ed guys hit it on the head yesterday. According to Frank Bruni, 34% of Americans 12 and older are either alcoholic or involved in risky drinking. This is a sobering article, literally. I hope this link works!

I'm ashamed to admit, but at the same time consciously ok - as soon as i recognized my problem and started addressing it - I invested in a myriad of alcohol stocks for just this reason. Our entire planet appears to have an addiction to the substance, and it has been legalized and sanctioned. I'm not suggesting that it should become illegal, but I am convinced that the method in which we teach ourselves to use alcohol, it is designed to become an embedded vice in society. Just think of this line, "I need a drink to take the edge off". Who in the world do you know who doesn't want to eliminate that "edge"?
