I was never a Whitney Houston fan; though I admired her spectacular voice, her songs did nothing for me.
A moment ago, though, I watched her performing in South Africa, back in the 90s. Her full splendor got to me this time, and I found myself thinking about her raspy, ruined voice, and being found dead in a bathtub.
Addiction is very, very real.
It's time to wake up.

I believe chances are good that it will be determined that she died as a result of mixing prescription medication with alcohol. While a lot of people will blame the pills, it is important to recognize that alcohol plays a major role in these things. The media and many uninformed people will concentrate on the fact that she used drugs, but just like with Amy Winehouse, I think it is alcohol that cost her her life. JMHO
