So the break begins (new member)
Hello all. I am doing a break with any form of alcohol for the next 20 odd days until a trip I am making to a place. I have decided to use this time to give over the silliness of the habits that I picked up along the way and find other things to do with my energy and time. I would like to be pointed to a place where I can point my acerbic comments on things that crop up and quite frankly **** me off whilst I go through cracking that general malaise that will come about during the next (I believe) 27 days.
I will also give support when I can as it seems to sort out the witching hours of a good beer or three before work on a monday...
Cheers (putting pain to that pun)
CL

Lately I have had a couple of holidays and decided, enough is enough for a while and I wanted to be a part of a group to give inspiration on my choice and show that it is not all doom and gloom when you are having a break and re-evaluating life choices.
Bring it, Clownloach. You might expect that malaise (we call it withdrawal) over the next week or two, but there is something that is really great about that painful time. You never have to experience that special mix of headaches, insomnia, nausea and irritability again if you choose not to. There is a secret to that, and if you hang around SR and keep reading and posting, it will be revealed to you. Welcome.

Dear lord, I have just done some research and seen how bad or how heavy an effect it can have...
Glad I am taking a break and it would be awful for me not to bounce around offering help as well as seeking it.
