Sit by the Fire and Share your Favorite Quote!

Hello everyone,

I love a campfire and sharing special moments with friends, so I thought it would be fun if you john me and share your favorite "Quote!"
I'll get it started.

" Where ever fear exists, courage can be found."
Robert M. Hensel

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Trite and redundant on these forums but it definitely helps me.

This is one I came upon recently -

If you live in the past, you have regrets.
If you live in the future, you have fear.
If you live in the NOW, everything is always ok.

Another one: "I don't care what people think of me, because its truly
none of my business".

The only thing you can expect to be constant in this world is change.

The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be – Marcel Pagnol.

( I LOVE Shawshank! Great quote Shane)

I just lit a fire so this thread is very fitting, here is one I got from this very site

When things fall apart, consider the possibility that life knocked it down on purpose.
Not to bully you, or to punish you,
but to prompt you to build something that better suits your personality and your purpose.
Sometimes things fall apart so better things can fall together.

This wasn't in the first edition of the Big Book of AA. It came out in the 3rd edition. Pg 449...Pg 417 in the 4th edition. Little more than a quote...But so much truth.

And acceptance is the answer to all my problems
today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some
person, place, thing, or situation—some fact of my life
—unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until
I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being
exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world
by mistake.

It is better to live alone, there is no companionship with a fool; let a man walk alone, let him commit no sin, with few wishes, like an elephant in the forest.
The Dhammapada

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent - Eleanor Roosevelt

These quotes help me deal with other people when I get too caught up in thinking about what other people think
