and now the shakes start...

Just a hello thread for anyone else out there coming off the drink. The shakes have set on for me but the good news is that it means i'm back on the road to recovery. Next few days are going to be rough.

Being safe. So far it doesn't feel like an ER visit but the hospital is always an option.

A doctor can help you with the shakes. The problem with the shakes is that they can make you pretty uncomfortable, and if you drink a beer they go away.

The insanity of that, is that you are consuming more of the substance that gave you the problem in the first place.

Ive been there! Just try and relax and keep in mind that it will all pass soon. I used watch movies or TV to distract myself. And of course I would always have this site up on my laptop when the anxiety started to come on strong.

Oh I remember those awful shakes. Thank God they've gone. You remind me why I don't want to go out drinking again.

I have had chills, more last time I quit. This week, just very, very cold when I went to bed. Does this happen to anyone? So far was only physically shaking day one(mild hand tremors-hungover).
