Impurrfect, join the "band", the goal is to slowly turn SR into a picture forum

Another stab in B/W:

How would you guys feel about setting up our own Flickr group, we could share photos without using photobucket, and anyone who wanted to post pics of themselves or their family could do so without violating the rules here.

You are right TC, life is more fun behind the lens! This is from Saturday. Just after sundown, also known as the "blue hour."

P.S. are you traveling?

Flickr is a photo sharing website run by *****, if you go to the ***** home page on the left side click flickr, there are thousands of groups, some private, some public, and each one is a photo category or a private group.

You could search for a group that only has airport photos , once you find it you join and load your photos (either individually or in photo galleries).

But the site uploads something like 50,000 photos a minute from all over the world.

Now if I only I hadn't caught a throat/ear infection in the airplane, my first stop was the hospital now taking antibiotics and waiting for better days.

Oh, I thought you wanted to turn this into a photo sharing site! haha

I think it's great you are traveling and sharing it with us. I find airports fascinating! Enjoy your trip and your visit with family.

You guys are so talented, I take photos, but I struggle to even get good shots of my pet pig, I guess I should take a class at the community college or adult education center, did either of you take a class?

Willie,

Yes, that mountain is right down the road from me. Mt. Shasta. And *finally* we got some snow on it last week. I am limited to photographing nearby things since I mostly travel in the spring and summer. Just wait till I have no more children at home/in school, though. Then, I plan to photograph the entire American west, lol!

(((TC))) - Hope you get to feeling better soon!

There was, for a while, a thread for people to share photos and I loved it!

We could start another one in the social area. I had heard about flicker, but never really got into it, but I could, and thank you ((Bill)) for giving me the information.

I'm back on the laptop (until it dies...getting a new one soon) that recognizes my camera, but I think it's a great idea!

(((LTD))) is a pro, IMO, but there are others here who do really great photos. I think it would be a great idea, I would just post my amateur point-and-shoot stuff until I get rich and can afford a really nice camera and lenses

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

LTD you can add any pictures, just kidding with the hijacking ! I wanted to use that icon! Thanks for the good vibes!

Willy I took an online course but it was not that easy to follow, in person would be better! pictures of pets are difficult, I take many of my cats ..

Impurrfect I have an expensive (well expensive for me anyway lol) "beginner's" camera. I still use it in auto and as you see I use the 3 features I know in Fireworks LOL! just "get out there" ...

When I ignore the 'not good enough' voices I start having fun!

Choublak,

Yes I have a mini zoo, I have a Swedish White mini pig, a pot belly pig, 2 mini dairy goats, 2 horses, 17 chickens, a goose, a duck, 2 cats, and 2 dogs, plus we feed whoever and whatever shows up at our door regardless of who they belong to.

We raised the pigs in the kitchen (they are great about using a litter box) until they were big enough to go out.

We raised our goats in the basement (we had several litters totaling 27 babies one winter) until they had enough hair to be outside under heat lamps and then out for good.

We raised baby chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks in the basement under heat lamps until they could go out.

It has been great for our children, they have helped deliver, clean, and bottle feed all kinds of animals.

We have 6 acres, but everything except the horses live in a normal size back yard.

It is very noisy in a good way, geese make an excellent burglar alarm.
