Easiest Week Ever!
Easiest Week Ever!
I have failed at stopping drinking countless times. This time is different, though.
Today marks the beginning of week 2 of soberness for me. I haven't had the urges like I have in the past, and I'm actually enjoying being sober this time.
I play with the puppy more. I talk with my family more. I'm more productive at work and at home. My critical thinking is much better. I actually walked a mile yesterday, and I actually am beginning to feel "normal", I guess.
There are lots of things going on with work right now, with potential threats to our retirement by the upcoming legislative session in Alabama, and, now that I'm sober, I find myself leading the pack on this in my city. I educated fellow employees on potential changes and emailed the politicians. I suppose that I have taken this on as a project, and, maybe being sober to do it will keep me sharp.
Thanks to my SR family, I am optimistic that it will stick this time!
