I am brand new to the forum
I spent 6 1/2 years clean and sober. But I gave Gods gift of sobriety back to Him 6 years ago. I desperatley pray that I can get that gift returnd to me. I went to an CA meeting tonight and listened to a good speaker tell my story. Beer, hard liquior, pot, coke, etc. ect.. When I am living in my addiction it doesn't matter what it is. Is destructive to my health, hurts my family, my business, which leads to financial problems. I met a guy tonight at a meeting that had been reccommended to me and I like what he had to say. We are going to go to another meeting tomorrow night as well. He ants me to call him if I feel like using. I thank God I was able to cross paths with Lance tonight. A brother in Christ and A friend in sobriety. I need to stick close to him but remain conscience of the fact that Lance is the sponser and Jesus is the way and Reason.

Jesus is the way! He lets us choose our path. Then when we see His way is right, He gladly takes us back. Part of growing our spiritual muscle. We can not live our own way, we inevitably make a mess. Welcome & God bless
When I found myself in the worst points in my life, it was always an addict that picked me up, even before I was an addict and they were sober. Recently my son is playing with Buzz Lightyear (coincidence that his voice is a recovered coke dealer), but he shouts "Buzz Mission" every morning, it wakes me up, and I'm a miserable ******* in the mornings. I crawl out of bed, perk up and straighten up, "Daddy's mission!" I shout (my wife already thinks I'm nuts but the kid loves it). That's my eye-opener, no vodka, no beer, just DADDY'S MISSION!!! I spend my free time helping old people, with hilarious consequences. I'm a big tall white guy, I live in Japan, so I frighten the crap out of most people!
