Day 3

After realising that my wife and son now live 5,000 miles away, (they didn't before Christmas), and having been drunk for most of the last 24 years, I think that I had better do something about it.

I am just about to get out of bed for the first time in 3 days and go for a small bike ride. I feel very shaky.

I am glad I found this forum, I think that it will help me.

Thanks everybody for being so welcoming. I did go for a bike ride which was great, nowhere near as far as I used to go, but I felt surprisingly OK. Biggest problem was pouring my tea when I got back with shaky hands.

I feel better for riding my bike, I will plan another ride tomorrow, all being well.
