I'm back
Anna, glad to see you're still around living the dream. Actually my question was probably rhetorical. I continued to live with an active drinker, failed to make changes I made stick, fell back into a BS pattern of needless drama and got comfortable with it. Sort of a chasing the dragon thing. Thanks for helping me focus. This site was a key component of what made it work while it worked.
One of the most helpful things to my recovery is remembering how I felt the last day I drank and how horrible detoxing was. I know I never have to feel that way again.....if I don't take that first sip.
Welcome back

Welcome back

Hi Elegant It's never too late to try again! It took me many tries to get where I am today. I once gave up and drank for over a year just like you. I've got 7 months now and life is good. What brings you back here? Did something happen?
Toxic Codie Alch related relationship. Thought I could change other people and reverted back to some bad behaviors. Began drinking again to escape and procrastinate doing anything else (my humble and pathetic self - analysis). Time to kick it into gear. Day 2 and counting and time for a plan. Hi Smacked and Surley; hope all is well with you guys.
