My Fourth Day 2

It's getting better...withdrawal symptoms are starting to calm down a bit, but they are still there. Hadn't slept for about 24 hours and then last night I was able to get some sleep, although it was quite restless. I know I've heard others on here talk about it...the night itches. They're the absolute worst. I'm hoping for a more restful evening tonight. Went home to visit my parents so I'd be surrounded by some positive support and I just needed to get away from the "bad feeling" of my apartment a few hours away. By bad feeling I mean because of my most recent relapse...Just needed a break from that scenery.

Anyway, I'm feeling less anxious today and I finally have an appetite again. After a few false starts and realizing I really wasn't to quit, this time I'm confident in myself and have a better plan in place. I never want to feel this bad again. Thanks for the continued support!

Hi Taws. Your post sounds very positive - hoping this is the end of your drinking career. There's nothing left to enjoy about it - & you don't want to put your poor body through that hell again.

You can do this Taws - & we'll always be here to support you.

I'm from the "AA isn't for me" camp...so no, I'm not. I know it works for a lot of people, and that's great!

Not being of the Christian faith and really not believing in every aspect of the philosophy, it's not for me. That's why I'm coming to SR for support. Also, I've started talking to an addiction counselor weekly.
