Hi, I'm Temperance,
I wanted to thank everyone on this forum for your non-judgemental support for those seeking sobriety. I found this site accidentally (maybe not) about a month ago, and have been reading threads almost daily.
I don't want to be an alcoholic, but I might be. I hosted a dinner party Saturday and drank too much wine. It is not the first time, but I want it to be the last. I spent most of yesterday reading the Big Book downloaded to my Android from the app 12 Step Companion. I also downloaded "Drinking: A love Affair" to my Kindle - (the idea from a post by DarrenW). It's an enlightening read so far.
I am on a new journey...candidly verbalizing these thoughts to myself and and others. Needless to say, it is somewhat frightening.
I offer my prayers to everyone on their journey and wish you success. I thank you for your posts, for they are a blessed guidance for me.
