Last hope
Welcome back Sax
I really believe we get out of our recovery what we put into it, you know?
Do you think it's enough?
I agree with Anna that anything can work - if you really work it.
I don't think we have last chances - not we're alive - but I really hope you can make this your year

12 step meetings aren't magic, they aren't what makes people recover. Determination to stop using and then work on building a purposeful life is what makes people recover.
You can definitely work the AA program and recover while only attending one meeting a week.

1 meeting a week, 7 meetings a week, you'll stay sober if you want to. I attend 3, 4 meetings a week. The 1st reason I stay sober is because I tell myself no every time I get the urge. Got my 18 month chip 2 hours ago.

Of course it can work. AA is not about how many meetings someone attends. It's about having a spiritual awakening as the result of the 12 Steps that emphatically alters my perception of life and the way I relate to it. Many solid AA members are dedicated to a home group that meets once a week.
Saxony, you've been around here long enough to get some real experience with trying to stay sober by doing what you're doing. Maybe it's time to consider doing something that's been successful for many others.
