Mornings
Good morning, everyone! Day 20 or 21 or something; I am less interested in counting now. I just wanted to share my joy this morning. I am SO PSYCHED to be waking up in the mornings at peace, well-rested and clear-headed! Also, I am enjoying my coffee again. I had given it up because it would counteract the early morning alcohol buzzes that I had recently begun to work so hard on. (shudder)
When a craving hit me after work yesterday, a very powerful thought also hit me (I'm sure must have heard it here, somewhere, at some point): "There is nothing wonderful that happened today that wine wouldn't ruin, and there is nothing terrible that happened today that wine wouldn't make worse. So don't bother even thinking about it." And, like that, poof! No more temptation. What a miracle.
