ok looking for advice

had bad back pain, same old drill prescribed pain pills, went to pain management doctor was diagnosed with l5 s4 disc grade 4 shred going into spine. Ok, so now i get the pills regularly, dose goes up, i abuse them then switch to patch, this seems to work and have been on 125 mg fentanyl patch for several years without too many issues. I was a wreck last month and went to doc for valium. took thme for tHree weeks, got off them, been over two weeks now but still a wreck. My patches dont seem to be working well. Starting to believe back pain is all in my head and need to stop this train all tOgether. Will start with docs advice and try dropping the 25 mg patch for starters, but looking for answers and any help. I'm a fool to think this has made my life better. can you go cold turkey on 125mg?

Welcome bandor - I'm with the others - go with your Dr...
If you still have doubts - get a second opinion

I agree, good idea following your dr's advice. I can however share my personal experience with Fentanyl. I'm a chronic pain patient and I'm an addict. I went c/t from 100mcg. It's hell on Earth, worst w/d's I've ever been thru and I've abused opiates for 10 years. Good luck! And welcome!
