Finished Day Four
Been lurking. Just checking in. Doing ok. Keeping busy. Sometimes being in here makes me crave a martini so I leave. Weird huh? I know I'm supposed to focus on recovery but it does set off my cravings. There is liquor here but no vodka so I'm ok. If there were vodka here I'd be into it I'm sure. Keeping busy working and preparing for school next week. If I'm not around it's likely because knowing I can't have a martini makes me want one and talking about drinking makes me want to. Take care all.
It's not so weird.
Day four is uncomfortable and sometimes it might be extra uncomfortable to be faced with other peoples experiences and stories.
What did most of us do when we feel uncomfortable?
We instinctively want to try and numb that feeling out.
I felt that myself in my earliest days here - but truth be told Snooper? *everything* triggered me back then.
I really encourage you to work through these feelings.
I was a great saboteur when it came to things that were good for me.
This is a place of great support. Don't cut off an avenue of great support.
It's your alcoholism making you want to drink, not SR snooper

Not weird at all, like Dee said. Its so early in recovery just take it a moment at a time. And well done realizing something that is giving you that craving and stoppin.
Keep it up
