I haven't posted in this forum in at least a year, but was a regular my first six months or so, class of december 09.

i was a hopeless alcoholic and opiate junkie. several treatment centers, numerous trips to jail, a year long prison sentence, destroyed relationships, lost jobs, you name it...

On december 28th, 2009 i made i a decision that i had had enough. it hasn't been easy, but it's been a lot easier than the brutal life i had been living.

I got, and stay clean & sober with the help of a lot of wonderful people both inside and outside my 12 step fellowship. good nutrition, exercise, meditation, laughter...

there are a myriad of ways to get and stay sober, and if i can be here with over 2 years without a drink or a drug so can you.

Good stuff and I also practice the same methods for a sober lifestyle.

It's worked so far and next month will be 1 YEAR!

I hope some of the newcomers that have struggled in and out/off and on can take a look at how we have done it.

I tried all my own ways and made up my own programs in the past...but I was drunk again within hours or days.

It's not the only way, but I'm grateful it has worked for us!
