Hi SR, Im on day 18 of sobriety!!! I feel good today. Things are so different this time round. I realise now theres more to it for me than just NOT DRINKING. Its the spiritual growth as well as the emotional growth.

I went to a lovley candlelit meeting in Cambridge, England last night. I have a BIG problem with isolating so for me gettting to a meeting is a success!!!! I think at the moment the higher power for me is the people in the room. Being around people that get it.

I find the moment I start heaping expectations on myself like "I should go to a meeting everyday" or give myself a hard time for missing one, i become overwhelmed and back off completley.

For me it really is one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time.

Great start, it makes it easier if you get to experience the relief of going to an AA meeting before you start to feel bad, not just as a pick-me-up as needed.
