This was Day 2 and I got my 24 hour chip at AA today. Everyone was so supportive and congratulatory that it just spurs me on to keep going. Even one day is a huge accomplishment for me considering how long I've been drinking. Can't wait for the next one! Thank you for all of the support here - it is really helping!

The first 24 hours is a real achievement. I am so glad you made the decision to stop drinking. Give it all that it is worth......sobriety is priceless, and I had no idea how much better life is without it. Good on you!

There seems to be some good support available to you IRL, and what happens there can make this good feeling go on. Sure is better than sitting home grinding through this with clenched fists, isn't it?
