OT - New Year
I hope that 2012 is a better year for us all. I hope we all find happiness and serenity.

Tonight I am toasting to you all and every family dealing with this ridiculous disease.
Happiness is out there waiting for us. We just have to take it.

Happy New Year.
I have been in a contemplative mood today. Ever since a friend in Al-Anon, whose 2011 was worse than my hell was at its worst, said "it might sound crazy, but I appreciate this past year. It has made me a better person. A happier person. I've learned a lot about myself. About addictions. About life."
If I had a resolution for 2012 -- I don't -- it would be to be able to say that, and mean it, at the end of the year.
One foot in front of the other. Babysteps will take us where we're going if we take enough of them.
