Cheers to a first sober Christmas in 25 years.
So with that I give today's .
Many alcoholics will be saying today "This is a good Christmas for me "( I am ) They will be looking back over the past Christmases which were not like this one. They will be thanking god( or what ever you believe in) for their sobriety and their new found life. For me I will be thinking about how my life was changed when I came in to AA . I will be thinking about how my higher power let my live through all the hazards of my drinking career, when i was close to death and in the ICU, in order that I can be used to do great work in life and AA.
Merry Christmas with love, Inda

Right back at you! I woke up clear headed and ready for the day. This morning it was a cup of coffee instead of screwdrivers. My kids are so happy and so good. I don't want to ever miss this again.
Last night I pulled a very nice big water fishing boat into my driveway. I never could/would have been able to do this before even though it was my lifelong dream. My friends from AA were instrumental in making this possible (I'll explain how in another thread later).
Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas back at you!
This is my second holiday season sober. This year has been even better than last year, and i pray they continue to change and evolve with my sobriety.
For those still stuggling this holiday season, both in and out of the rooms and on here, i wish for you that you find your higher power, whatever that is for you, and you enter into recovery. Life is so much better now. I am eternally grateful.

Hi Inda. Merry Christmas.
Glad you made it though to today and I'm in the same boat as my first sober Christmas in a very long time. Nice to be clear headed but I can't say much more than that.
ope you can catch a great movie tonight. Take care
