best day ever!
not because it's christmas even though that's always good.
it's the best day ever because i woke up sober...again.
just like every day since september 8th, 2009.
sure....some of those days have problems but to steal from jay-z....i got 99 problems but a drink ain't one!!! lol.
and i owe it to this board and the angels that are here every day. god bless the people that make this place happen because they sure blessed me.
if i can do it...anybody visiting here can. you don't find this place because you wouldn't mind quitting an annoying habit. you find it to save your life! and you get the added benefit of it being a much better life.
love to all on this holiday. to any contemplating quitting...give yourself (and your loved ones) the best gift ever...sobriety.

Yup! Recovery is great because of the lessons it teaches. We can never be the same, only wiser. I thought I had lost my mind. Then I realized that I wasn't losing my mind, alcohol already took it away. I am just picking up the pieces and trying to put them back together again. Some of the pieces are missing. So I get to make new ones that fit in the whole.

i need to go visit him and all the cousins. my dad quit drinking almost 4 years ago. my brother will have 2 years in january. first time the 3 of us have ever been sober at the same time.
