Merry Christmas all!! One month today
Merry Christmas all!! One month today
I hope everyone has a great sober Christmas. I was up almost the whole night. My body is still adjusting to it all, but I still feel pretty good.
I'm posting my length of sobriety for those who may still be using, or have maybe just hours or a few days of sobriety. It can be done and it can get better pretty fast if you have a program or plan in place.
For me it is my God, AA, the steps, sponser, and this online community.
The once constant irritability and anxiety episodes are getting farther apart, and they have less intensity. I am finally starting to see hope for a much brighter future. I know that there are still hard days to come. That happens to everyone, addict or not. Tools for dealing with life have been laid at my feet. All I have to do is use them. It really is that simple, as long as I don't complicate it.
It really is much better without drugs and alcohol.
God bless and Merry Christmas.
