Unhappy Need some help/advice

Any widows/widowers out there in your fifties? very ashamed/aggravated at my life because of my choice to self medicate after my husbands death. i was so busy being strong thinking wine would never hurt me...Well here i am seven years later not doing so great...would love to communicate with someone who knows what this feels like

I'm not in your situation, but I know how it is to use alcohol to self-medicate a difficult time in your life, and then you realize one day, that you have lost control.

You have come to a good place for support.

Please to meet you, snooze.

I'm sorry for the pain you've been through. I'm not a widow either, but I tried using alcohol to calm myself down & control my emotions. I'd love to go back & deal with things in a normal, healthy way. You have today, though. You can start now to get it right.

Glad to have you here with us - it helps to not be alone.

Welcome Snooze,

I have not experienced the loss of a spouse but would just like to say hi and offer my support.

Mery Christmas
