Have you guys read the book "EasyWay to Quit Drinking by Allan Carr"?

I know people that read the smoking one and actually just quit cold turkey.

I quit smoking after 7 years...why is it so hard to quit drinking after 2.5 years...or 3 or something like that..

Any opinions on the book if you have read it?
I tried...and I am not sure if I am missing something.

I thought it was corny. I have read others here that liked it. The one (and really only) takeaway I received is: Alcohol is a volatile, highly flammable poison. All the other stuff added to it is to mask the horrible smell and taste. Hell, they can run cars on 85% alcohol these days. Not something I want in my body anymore.

haven't read it but I've heard about it a lot!!
I might have to pick that up on Amazon!

I found it had some useful stuff in it - although I read it after I got sober

It changed the way I viewed alcohol. I now don't feel like I'm depriving myself of something good by abstaining. It really helped me . . . that is about all I can say.
