Been awhile.......
Hello all 
it's been awhile since I've posted.
Since then, things have been a bit of a roller coaster but I think things are finally getting back to normal, for me anyways. Finally went to court a few weeks ago and I now have sole legal & residential custody of our son. He gets him every other weekend and every Tuesday from 4:30-7:30. So far, so good. I limit my conversations with him and keep any issues/concerns etc...to be addressed in emails.
We go to court next week for child support, he's been paying me a minimal amount since I kicked him out. After hearing what the judge told others when we were in court for custody, he has since sent an email begging for us to come to an agreement so we don't have to go to court. He's the one that refused to sign the initial consent order drawn up by my attorney & stated he wanted it to go before a judge so that's what's going to happen.
As far as I know, he has been sober. Do I know this 100%, no....my main concern is my son and he is doing just fine. I speak to him at least once a day when he is with his father.
I have stood my ground with him and refuse to back down or let him try to manipulate me ever again!
I am currently helping out a friend who is dealing with a similar situtation. She's had her moments of weakness and let his words have her second guessing her decision to end things with him but my words of advice bring her back to reality....thank goodness.
Well, in case I don't touch base before the Holidays, I hope each and every one of you have a blessed Christmas & New Year.
