Thought about you all the other night!
I was having dinner with my boyfriend and he went to pour himself a glass of wine and as I was about to ask for one as well I stoped and actually thought about everyone on here. I thought, "I cant let them down. I cant let myself down. I cant be on here giving advice and posting about my own trials and tribulations if I so quickly say yes to a glass of wine." Thinking about you all and what you all have been through and the advice you all have givien me actually made it quite easy for me to say no. And like that I was enjoying a nice glass of lemonade instead.
(((Sara))) - great!! I've had the same feelings...don't want to go down that road again AND definitely don't want to have to come back here and say I did! Sometimes it takes a little more from the recovery tool box, but thinking of SR and all my friends here, gives me a good moment of clarity.
Yay on lemonade
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

LOL I always say that AA and Soberrecovery.com are the biggest buz-kills! I mean that in the best way! But I'm like you Sara!!!! But then look it's helping all of us! Yeah sure we mess up but we know where to go and what to do. And when we have a victory like you did we still come here! We are here no matter what! I'm so happy for you.

Congrats! It is a nice feel having another end of the rope being pulled in the tug-o-war going on in my head. It used to be a one-sided competition with alcohol winning easily every time. Guilt and dissapointment are good motivators that I hope will keep the demons at bay.
