Family affair
My boyfriend (in his 30s) is an A. His father is an A. He has various uncles, cousins who also struggle.
His cousin (in his 20s — his deceased father was an A) is in the hospital. And has been since before Thanksgiving -- his pancreas because of drinking (he also had a DUI earlier this year). My ABF hasn't spoken much about this at all. I've gotten most information from his mom.
ABF got a text from him yesterday that he was still in the hospital and that he is done with drinking. We only discussed it because his phone was right there and I saw the text.
I pray for his cousin (who is bright and kind and has so much promise) that he has reached his bottom. I pray that my ABF will see this as a sign (he has gone to some AA meetings and does know there's a problem even if he's not ready or willing to fully accept or fix it).
I would love for his family to start healing.

I'm going to therapy, reading all that I can, setting boundaries and refocusing on my needs. Thanks for the encouragement!
