Day 1.

Well... 27 Days and I fell off the wagon. Thing is I'm so dissappointed with myself.

Normally after I drink I get depressed, but this time... Idk, something is different. I know what I did wrong, and I know what to do differently this time. All I can do is pick myself back up.

I didn't even have a good time drinking Saturday, it was a total waste.

This is my last day 1. I'm tired of this.

Giving up will kill you...Pick yourself up...Dust yourself off and get busy. You got the right attitude.

Programmer.. very positive attitude..That feeling of being disappointed in yourself certainly isn't a nice feeling. 27 days is an accomplishment! Keep going!

You have got the right attitude, Programmer. Negativity - guilt and shame - will do nothing positive for you. Those 27 days weren't wasted - you still have them, and all of the experience you gained from them. Take care.

Thumbs up

Hey Programmer...good job on recognizing the way forward, and not dwelling on the past. Thanks for having the courage to come back and talk about things.

Learn from the experience, and move on.

I do honestly think I learned from this. Letting my guard down for even a moment will result in a relapse.

I need to do more and think less. I ponder on my problem so much, but in a negative way. I need to turn around do the things I say I'm going to do.

You don't ever have to feel this way again.

You can do this.

Welcome back Programmer
I think doing more is the way to go.

What's your plan?

I really don't know yet. Avoid skipping any meetings first of all, especially on a Saturday when I'm tempted to drink.

Other than that... I don't know. I have a lot of big life changes happening right now so drinking won't be possible for a while anyways.

EDIT: Not to say I'm going to slack on my recovery simply because I won't have time to drink in the near future. It will still be there when things slow down too... and as I've stated before, that's when I have the most trouble.

27 days is amazing! You know you can do it, you have proved it!! Focus on what you know you can do and let go of the shame of relapsing, its just part of the process and living and learning!!
