I made it threw the night
I saying with a friend for a bit and he had a poker party. I told me that I quit alcohol and he can understand that. Well at the part their were 100 of beers around me. Most of the time, was easy and other time it was little hard.
One person that was their ask me if I win, we can get goose. Then I told him that I quit drinking alcohol and he was not upside or anything. I told him that I just drink too much and I need to quit. The guy next to me side, thats good that you stop because I always see you going too far with alcohol.
It's was not that big of a deal and people understand. They never ask if I'm an alcoholic or anything. I think the word alcoholic is force more on the person that has a drinking problem and not the others who not. Or it's something people don't want to say. Anyway, people respect you more if you stop a bad problem like alcohol abuse then keep drinking.
Thanks for listening.

Very true action! Really proud of you for staying strong... I don't think I could have handled all that pressure, especially if I had to keep explaining myself. Be proud of yourself for this moment and remember it when the urges come! Stay strong
I'm glad you're feeling better act10n and glad you stayed sober - but I gotta ask - is this guys place, surrounded by 100s of beers, really the best place for you coming off a 6 day binge?

Congrats on staying strong and staying sober.
Something I am coming to terms with in my own sobriety....friends.
Seems like no one comes around much anymore now that I have stopped.
And I came to realize that a lot of them were just using me for their supply,
I ALWAYS had a bottle, no matter what day, and I would share, because
I ALWAYS had another stashed.
I had to make a choice, my sanity and sobriety, or my "friends"
My Sobriety date: November 9, 2011 and feeling better every day.

yeah, I realise that
I still wonder if that was the best place to be, at the point you are now - but what's done is done.
Here's hoping you won't find yourself in a similar situation again while you're there

Even with 21 yrs sobriety and a strong recovery
program i live my life on, my recovery is more
important to me than a drinking poker game.
Id rather be riding with a group of sober bikers
instead. IMO as always.

Well the poker party is not over yet but there is no alcohol being drinking. I'm guessing thats because it's a Sunday night and people work tomorrow. The weird thing is that i's 1230am here and people are still playing. i think these people have gambling problems.
